In our blog we inform about news and activities of PALUX. In addition to general company news, we also regularly report on other topics and trends from the fields of gastronomy, hotel business and communal catering. Together with our local partner ABM SE we equipped the Café & Restaurant Karamellan, which is located in the park of Drottningholm Palace, with a PALUX TopLine kitchen. Drottningholm Palace is the private residence of the Swedish royal family and located on the Mälaren island Lövon close to Stockholm.
Since the foundation of the project group “Südliches Taubertal” (Southern Tauber Valley) in the year 2016 PALUX is actively engaged in the MINT-regions project. At the beginning of March 2017 the Donors' Association and Körber Foundation announced the winners of their funding competition. Good news: The Southern Tauber Valley project “MINT hoch4” is among the seven winners. The network will receive 30.000 euros for the expansion of local MINT activities. Everybody involved is extremely pleased and happy.
PALUX purchased two new, efficient and up-to-date to the latest technology production machines with a total investment of about 2 million Euros. The company Trumpf located in Ditzingen, Germany, delivered and installed the new bending machine TruBend 5320 and the new punch and laser centre TruMatic 7000 with its Sheet Master at the end of 2016.
The workshop Selfmade High-Convenience held by Peter Scharff in collaboration with Torus Pak, an unique solution for ready-to-serve meals, took place in the Culinary Competence Center Kaiserslautern. Our Regional Sales Manager Manfred Nowotsch joined in addition to numerous participants from the catering industry.
In mid-January the HOGA was the meeting place for the South German gastronomy industry with 28.600 visitors. Barely one week later the SIRHA opened their doors for 189.000 international visitors and 130.000 sqm. We presented our broad product range for the restaurant and hotel business and community catering in Nuremberg as well as in Lyon.
