Skiing World Championship of Gastronomy 2014 in Ischgl

The Skiing World Championship of Gastronomy is the only ski event of its kind worldwide..
Many hoteliers, chefs, sommeliers, barkeepers and other skiing enthusiasts of the branch came together at the Idalp in Ischgl on April 9th and 10th.
According to organizers Champagne Laurent-Perrier and tourism association "Paznaun-Ischgl", 248 participants from 7 nations attended the 6th skiing race of the gastronomy.
The teams of different categories such as hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs, hospitality students, sommeliers, barkeepers, waiters and wine-growers raced twice on both days.
All participants also had a lot of fun off the slope. Different teams participated in a cooking challenge on identical cooking lines. Judges evaluated the menus.
