The PALUX Team was defeated by the German Soccer Team of Gourmet Chefs and Restaurant Owners 3:5
September 28th 2015: the weather was marvelous and it was a perfect day to play soccer. The charity soccer game between PALUX and the National Soccer Team of the Gourmet Chefs and Restaurant Owners took place at the recreational park of the SV Edelfingen. After 90 minutes and a game played on a high level Palux had to surrender.
At 3:30 pm Hans Wolf, a former national league referee open whistled the benefit match. The game developed with a fast pace and a light advantage for the PALUX team. The many fans on both sides enthusiastically cheered for their favorites. Already after 8 minutes the PALUX eleven took the lead through Manfred Nowotsch. Shorty after the second goal occurred through Özgün Celebi. This was the halftime score.
Immediately after the restart of the game, PALUX scored another goal by Özgün Celebi from a distance of about 25 meters. Who now believed that the game was decided was wrong. An alleged offside position was whistled in favor of the striker. Michael Hopf had no trouble to score a goal and shorten the result to 3:1.Directly after Benjamin Funk scored another goal after a perfect individual performance. By now the Soccer Team of the Gourmet Chefs and Restaurant Owner smelled a chance to win this game. Shortly after, Benjamin Funk scored another goal- the result was now 3:3. Both teams had high - caliber chances to score more goals which were thwarted by the goal keepers. However, two quick counter-attacks by the national soccer team of gourmet chefs and restaurant owners decided the game for themselves.
The enthusiastic crowd of spectators watched a soccer game at a high level with tactical smart moves and numerous penalty scenes.
The 3rd halftime took place in the rooms of the PALUX AG. Here some decisions were discussed with food and wine for a long time. However, at the end everybody agreed that the winner was the charity purpose. The PALUX CEO Erhard Ikas and the president of the National Soccer Team of Gourmet Chefs and Restaurant Owners Franz Feckl handed a cheque to the chairperson of the SV Edelfingen Georg Linsenmayer. This money is donated for the juvenile work of the SV Edelfingen. Another cheque was handed over to Dr. Ulrich Pfufe for the campaign "Rotary helps".
