New nitrogen tank system at PALUX
A new, larger nitrogen tank system has been in operation at PALUX since the beginning of May. The previous tank, which had a capacity of approx. 3,000 kg, was put into well-deserved retirement after more than 20 years of reliable service.
The replacement took place on 07. and 08.05.2019 using two heavy-duty crane trucks. First of all the old tank plant – which was subject to considerable wear and tear due to wind and weather – was dismantled and transported away. Afterwards the new nitrogen tank of the company Linde was installed.
With a capacity of approx. 12,000 kg of liquid nitrogen, the new plant not only offers a larger capacity, but also a higher security of supply thanks to state-of-the-art technology. For example, the integrated remote monitoring function enables monitoring and planning of the filling of the tank system.
After completion of the conversion work, the general commissioning and the safety instructions, gas could be taken from the new tank within a short time. Although some smaller works are still on the agenda in the next weeks, PALUX would like to thank all participants for the speedy and smooth implementation.
