PALUX – More than just a kitchen!

It was great at the INTERGASTRA 2020

INTERGASTRA took place again this year in Stuttgart; due to its proximity to Bad Mergentheim, this trade fair is virtually a home game for PALUX. For the first time live at an expo show, cooking was done on the PALUX Topline D.

We can look back on an eventful, inspiring and above all successful exhibition: the 29th INTERGASTRA was once again able to maintain its top position among the European trade fairs for the hotel and catering industry – approximately 100,000 visitors from over 70 countries were able to find out about the latest products and trends in the hospitality industry from 1,420 exhibitors.

Matching the start of the five days of the fair, our new videos on the PALUX SteamTeam celebrated their premiere. The combination of the PALUX Pressure-Steamer and PALUX Touch 'n' Steam 611 SL can now be seen on YouTube in German, English and French.

Another new attraction was our "Talk at the stove", where we could welcome various star chefs. Among others, Sascha Kemmerer (Kilian Stuba in the Ifen Hotel in Hirschegg, Austria), Kai Schneller from the Silberdistel Restaurant in the luxury resort Sonnenalp in Ofterschwang and Martin Scharff from Scharff's Schlossweinstube in the Heidelberg Castle were guests at our booth and gave exciting insights into their everyday work as well as into the current topics of the industry.

Of course we were also represented again at the top-class event "Night of the Stars" in the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The team of star chef Rolf Straubinger fully relied on our equipment support and provided culinary delights at eleven food stations with delicious menus.

At the same time as INTERGASTRA, the IKA Culinary Olympics took place in Stuttgart for the first time. Professional chef teams from all over the world competed there in the perfect interplay of high-quality ingredients, skilful preparation and impressive presentation. This year the gold medal was won by the Norwegian culinary national team. We have also contributed indirectly to this success: the Norwegians trained in advance on PALUX kitchen technology in the beautiful Staufeneck Castle by star chef Rolf Straubinger. With two silver medals, the Polish team also achieved a good result –  months in advance, the Polish team had already prepared conscientiously for the competition in the Instytut Kulinarny, which is equipped with our appliances. The Culinary Olympics were rounded off by two bronze medals of the US-American regional team from the ACF Big Apple Chapter from New York. After a long and hard preparation in the PraxisForum at our factory, these chefs also achieved an outstanding performance.

These successes show once more that best results can be achieved with PALUX kitchens and components!
