Company Summer Party 2018

This year's summer party of the GUSTATUS Group took place on the company premises in Igersheim on 6 July 2018. As usual, the event was opened in the early afternoon by CEO Erhard Ikas with a short address to the approx. 230 attending employees with their families and numerous company pensioners.

As in the previous year, the weather was very good once again, allowing the participants to enjoy coffee and cake as well as a large selection of refreshing ice creams in the sunshine.

A lot of action was offered for the kids: a fun park (including football, bouncy castle, children's vehicle park, sandbox) and face painting were once again very popular – as well as the popcorn machine. Since no pony riding was offered this year for the well-being of the animals, a summer Olympics event (egg and spoon race, sack race, tug-of-war, three-legged race) has been organised instead.

There was also a change in the menu compared to the previous years: instead of a BBQ a “regular dish” was vitalised and served – based on the PALUX concept of time-shifted production. For this a PALUX Touch 'n' Steam 2021 Q with several roll-in trolleys was used to show our solution competence live to the guests of the summer party. A large selection of fresh salads rounded off the menu.

The major highlight of the day was the opening of the "small PALUX Museum" by CEO Erhard Ikas. In the last months our exhibition construction team with Alfred Haas and Norbert Baumbusch (externally supported by Hans Ludwig) have put together a room full of historical equipment with great attention to detail. The organisers spent most of the working hours in their free time. Lots of positive feedbacks from the visitors were the reward for their efforts and at the same time an incentive to track down further "old" devices and add them to the museum. Especially the company pensioners enjoyed the tour through the company's history and enjoyed the numerous inventions and devices, some of which they had helped to develop. Together, young and old revelled in memories and are already looking forward to the coming year with hopefully some "new" historical PALUX treasures.
