PALUX at the 3rd Company Run in Igersheim

35 sports enthusiasts competed for the team of PALUX AG at the 3^rd edition of the “Igersheimer Firmenlauf” on 12.07.2018 – 22 of them runners and 13 Nordic walkers. The weather conditions this year were perfect compared to the previous year. The race started at 7:30 pm in bright sunshine and a pleasant temperature of 25° C.

Again, the organising club “1. FC Igersheim” managed to inspire over 1000 participants to compete on the 5.1 km long distance.

Unfortunately the PALUX team could not repeat the great successes of last year, but was successful in the Nordic walking discipline. Cornelia Lindner and Martina Markert took the 1^st and 2^nd place among the ladies. Also Fabian Göll could convince as a Nordic walker and reached the 3^rd place in the men's ranking.

The best runner of the day completed the course in a fabulous time of only 17 minutes and 12 seconds – our best PALUX runner Michael Dötter needed 19 minutes and 7 seconds and reached the 14^th place. A total of five PALUX runners made it into the Top 100 in the men's individual ranking and two PALUX runners finished in the top 20 in the women's individual ranking. Our runners were also among the top 6 in the respective team rankings (male, female and mixed) – unfortunately, however, one or two seconds were missing in the end.

All in all, the results are quite satisfactory as the main focus was on having fun. After crossing the finish line, our team ended the event with a few refreshing, non-alcoholic and isotonic drinks – while some of the motivated were already eagerly working out training plans for the coming year.
