Year in Review and Annual Christmas Party 2018

In keeping with the beginning of the winter calendar, this year's Christmas party of the GUSTATUS-Group took place in the festively decorated Kursaal of Bad Mergentheim. Traditionally, the honours of the deserving employees were also held.

On Friday, December 21, 2018, the employees of PALUX AG, SERVATOR ServiceLine GmbH and CSS GmbH, met in the Bad Mergentheim Kursaal to celebrate.

Since the previous PALUX CEO Erhard Ikas had resigned from his office at the end of November according to his long-time planned retirement succession strategy, it was up to the new CEO of PALUX AG, Dr. Hilmar Rudloff, to give a review of the 2018 business year coming to an end. This was marked by many successful highlights – be it the presentation at numerous trade fairs (including the Intergastra in Stuttgart, the INTERNORGA in Hamburg or the NRA Show in Chicago in front of a large scenery), the two awards "Best of Market" and "Kitchen Award in Gold" for the PALUX Topline Black Edition or the new trade fair concept and appearance. At the same time, various internal projects were started in which many employees were involved. Rudloff particularly thanked all employees for their commitment and energy in the past year 2018 and called for the efforts of PALUX to further expand its market position in the national and international environment even in 2019 which may become more difficult due to international developments. According to Rudloff, the focus for 2019 will be on the upcoming 25th anniversary of the PALUX Topline kitchen series, the permanent stationing of two employees in local sales offices in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) as well as the 90th anniversary of PALUX AG.

After the served soup of the festive menu, the greetings were on the agenda: Erhard Ikas (sole shareholder of the GUSTATUS-Group) and the chairman of the supervisory board of PALUX AG, Edmund Brenner, wished the new management team much success and thanked all employees for their contribution in the past business year. Mayor Udo Glatthaar underlined the importance of PALUX AG for Bad Mergentheim as one of the largest industrial companies in the region.

The central point of the programme was then the farewell of the deserving retirees as well as the honours of the long-standing employees for 10, 25, 40 and even 50 years of service with a total of 305 years of employment, which the board members carried out together with the HR manager Constanze Peterseim. As a special appreciation, Mayor Glatthaar presented the special congratulations of the Prime Minister of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Winfried Kretschmann, to those celebrating 40 and 50 years with the company, and together with Christof Geiger (member of the management of the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Industry and Commerce) presented the honorary certificates. Manfred Herbst's 50th anniversary as a member of the company was particularly emphasized – such a rare event is hardly to be found nowadays and is evidence of great loyalty and solidarity to the company, according to Glatthaar.

The two PALUX board members also thanked the successful sales employees, who had ensured satisfied customers and partners at domestic and foreign markets last year, with presents. PALUX sales and marketing director Torsten Hehner explicitly praised their passion and determination in his congratulations.

After enjoying a rich buffet, the official part of the Christmas party was concluded with the opening of the already traditional raffle, filled with many large and small gifts. On the dance floor, which was opened afterwards, the evening ended cheerfully.
