Trainee excursion: Kristall Palm Beach in Nuremberg
Excited and adventurous, we were finally able to enjoy a shared experience after 18 months of foregoing socialising and reducing our social contacts - even within the group of trainees. In the following, our trainee Mona Philipp reports on the trip to Nuremberg:
In foggy weather, we met at 8 a.m. at the PALUX company premises in Bad Mergentheim to drive together to Nuremberg to the Kristall Palm Beach. Once we arrived in Nuremberg, we put on our bathing suits and went to the adventure pool.
With 14 different slides, which together make up a length of 1.6 kilometres, there was something for everyone. The queue for the highlight among the slides, the double looping Pegasus II, was particularly long. But the queue was worth it: After a 14-metre drop, the first loop followed, which is run through at a speed of over 70 km/h.
In addition to the 14 slides, the wave pool with its waves up to 3 metres high offered us an exciting change. The long day at the pool was rounded off by a meal together at the Palm Beach restaurant, where we fortified ourselves with chips, schnitzel and curry sausage.
In the afternoon, by now in bright sunshine, we made our way home to Bad Mergentheim. The great experience together has bonded us as a group and we are all looking forward to next year!
